You all know how important family is to me... That includes my fitness family! I respect what they are doing in this facility and I am excited that they have asked me to be a part of it! We have some top-notch trainers here and passion is oozing out the doors. You cannot beat that!
While I have been taking my hiatus from teaching, I have not stopped thinking of my sweet friends from classes. The other day I gathered the signs that I would place at the front desk before my classes, and removed them from my car. I sat them on my bed and just stared at them. I looked at each sign and reflected on each class it represented; thinking about the students, milestones and good times had. And then it happened...
It has been just over a year since my FOCUS has been on PASSION. Although, I sprinkle it throughout entries, I have not really dedicated an entry on the importance of passion. I ran across a quote this week and it just made me smile. "Passion is the GENESIS of genius." - Galileo Galilei
There are 18 days until Thanksgiving and 49 days until Christmas. That means there are 56 days until the new year is upon us. Does that make anyone else want to pull their hair out? Does anyone else want to stress out during this time?
So much has happened this week and I have been trying to keep everyone up to date. I didn't want to overwhelm my social media accounts; so I have been trying to spread the news throughout the week, but I still have been unable to share everything. We should be able to get you all caught up today!
Afterwards, I was able to speak to these wonderful women. I shared my journey with one woman. I explained that it was my husband that gave me the courage and encouraged me to quit my full-time corporate job and pursue fitness full throttle. And then she asked the question...
Although, we had our laughs today, there was some noticeable missing faces. Faces that have been missing for a month, a couple of weeks and just today. I knew what these people were missing: injury, car accident, strong workout yesterday... The Cowboy Game. Then, there was one face that I hadn't seen in a week. The last time I spoke with this person, she had a disturbing encounter in the gym. Was this keeping her from the gym? I was a little frustrated and wanted to post some etiquette rules.
This week I have handed over my blog to a very special lady. She is a regular in my classes and always makes me laugh. Whether it is the faces that she gives me because she is working to her limit or her contagious smile, I look forward to seeing her (and frown inside when she isn't there). Last week she shared something with me and she has allowed me to share with all of you:
Change is coming. Change is inevitable. Whether it is the seasons (hello cooler temps and changing of the leaves) or something bigger; CHANGE HAPPENS! Recently I decided to invoke change based upon the inspiration of some of my students, clients and colleagues. I saw how they were bettering themselves and I was asking myself, "Am I the BEST version of myself that I can be?"
