Spring Break is here for most of our instructors. A number of instructors will have subs in their place. Will they be different from the original? MOST LIKELY! It would be pretty boring if we all taught the same. There are two options that we have.
The end is near... The end of the month, the end of the year and the end of the leftovers. How are you with your 2016 goals? If you are participating in our No Stress November Challenge, have you been able to take time out of your days and just "be"?
It has been just over a year since my FOCUS has been on PASSION. Although, I sprinkle it throughout entries, I have not really dedicated an entry on the importance of passion. I ran across a quote this week and it just made me smile. "Passion is the GENESIS of genius." - Galileo Galilei
There are 18 days until Thanksgiving and 49 days until Christmas. That means there are 56 days until the new year is upon us. Does that make anyone else want to pull their hair out? Does anyone else want to stress out during this time?
I want to say "thank you" to my wonderful students. This week was full of "UGH" moments.... All outside of the gym. The world "got me beat down." Ha, ha. I worked hard to take my own advice and not allow these incidents define my days.
Afterwards, I was able to speak to these wonderful women. I shared my journey with one woman. I explained that it was my husband that gave me the courage and encouraged me to quit my full-time corporate job and pursue fitness full throttle. And then she asked the question...
Change is coming. Change is inevitable. Whether it is the seasons (hello cooler temps and changing of the leaves) or something bigger; CHANGE HAPPENS! Recently I decided to invoke change based upon the inspiration of some of my students, clients and colleagues. I saw how they were bettering themselves and I was asking myself, "Am I the BEST version of myself that I can be?"
Did you notice something different on the schedule this week? I'll give you a hint... It's on Wednesday. That's right. Zumba® Gold is back on the schedule.
Naps.... Naps, carbs and trash TV. That is mostly what my staycation consisted. Don't get me wrong, we had some great family bonding time, but there was a great deal of naps, carbs and trash TV. I know the hubby fully embraced staycation mode when he actually crawled into our bed to take a nap instead of just taking a 20 minute cat nap on the couch. This was on day two of staycation.
It's that time! Staycation have officially started. Guess what? I didn't make it! I was at my husband's company event that is held every year for family and I began talking about work! Face - to - palm. FAIL! One of the employees at the venue mentioned that it looked as I worked out and blah, blah, blah we began talking shop. His wife is a group exercise director for a popular gym chain in the South Dallas area. After a few minutes, I found myself looking around for hubby as I realized I just broke our number one staycation rule. Oopsie!
