Learn From the Arrow_Week of 4/3/17

Let's learn from the arrow and the science from the arrow. When things do not go our way, find a way to find the positive.

Amazing You and Accountable Arms April Challenge

While I was deciding whether or not there would be an April workout, I was speaking to one of my wonderful students. I discussed how I was planning on "working on myself" like I promised one of my doctor's. She suggested that we make it an upper body workout so that this time they can hold me accountable. I loved the idea.

Meet Your Subs! Week of 3/27/17

I am taking a month off from teaching and I expect everyone to be in class when I return! In the meantime, I have lined up some excellent subs for you in my absence! I will continue to post schedules and list the instructors that will be in my place so that everyone is kept up to date.

Springing Forward_Week of 3/13/17

We have all sprung forward and now it is National Nap Day. Who knew? How long does it take for you to adjust to the time change? The good news is, it doesn't have to be a huge inconvenience for you. Here are some tips to help you this week as you adjust.

Motivation -Week of 2/6/17

What motivates you? What drives you to MOVE? Whatever is getting you to jump out of bed every morning to complete that workout, that is your motivation. It is obviously different for everyone. So what is it for you? I refer to this as your "Why".

Let Me Weigh In_Schedule for Week of December 26, 2016

We are coming upon New Year's Eve and that tradition of making those New Year's resolutions.  If you go back to my previous post, you will know how I feel about resolutions.  I even urged my readers to start changing themselves before the New Year.  According to http://www.statisticbrain.com, 45% of Americans make New Year's resolutions.  According to Nielson, our friends that tell us everything about consumers, losing weight was the second most popular resolution being made; behind STAYING fit and healthy.  I went on social media this morning and saw posts of friends receiving fitness gear and even gym memberships.  Yay!!!  However, I know of one tool that is going to be purchased and I have to tell you all to "DON'T DO IT!"

Naughty or Nice? Schedule for the Week of December 19, 2016

One of the bonuses of being a personal trainer and group fitness instructor is I get to hear all of your secrets.  Now I am not to be confused with your lawyer or priest, make no mistake about that.  Trust me.  For example, when you skip class and go out for mimosas, I MAY call you out the following week in class if you are slacking.  This season is the time of year that I tend to hear the same thing...  "I've been so naughty this week."
