Let's learn from the arrow and the science from the arrow. When things do not go our way, find a way to find the positive.
What motivates you? What drives you to MOVE? Whatever is getting you to jump out of bed every morning to complete that workout, that is your motivation. It is obviously different for everyone. So what is it for you? I refer to this as your "Why".
I took some time this weekend to update my vision board. Instead of including longer term goals, I decided to include my goals for this year.
So many times for you to try out new classes in the New Year. A chance to make new friends and who might just have the same goals as you. That is just one of the benefits of Group Exercise classes.
"Adios 2016!" I'm so glad to say those words! Whew... What. A. Year! Never have I been so happy to turn the page on the calendar than I have on this past year.
We are coming upon New Year's Eve and that tradition of making those New Year's resolutions. If you go back to my previous post, you will know how I feel about resolutions. I even urged my readers to start changing themselves before the New Year. According to http://www.statisticbrain.com, 45% of Americans make New Year's resolutions. I went on social media this morning and saw posts of friends receiving fitness gear and even gym memberships. Yay!!! However, I know of one tool that is going to be purchased and I have to tell you all to "DON'T DO IT!"

Ghouls, goblins, Slender Man.... October is when are the scary stuff comes out; so it is the perfect time to pull out the BURPEES! What better time to face your fears? The burpee, like the push up, is a full body workout. However, after a few sets, your legs should feel a little bit like lead! With each rep, you will work your arms, chest, quadriceps, glutes, hamstrings and abs. Would you rather face a clown in a dark alley or 25 sets of burpees?
