Change is coming. Change is inevitable. Whether it is the seasons (hello cooler temps and changing of the leaves) or something bigger; CHANGE HAPPENS! Recently I decided to invoke change based upon the inspiration of some of my students, clients and colleagues. I saw how they were bettering themselves and I was asking myself, "Am I the BEST version of myself that I can be?"

Naps, Carbs and Trash TV_Schedule for the Week of August 15, 2016

Naps.... Naps, carbs and trash TV. That is mostly what my staycation consisted. Don't get me wrong, we had some great family bonding time, but there was a great deal of naps, carbs and trash TV. I know the hubby fully embraced staycation mode when he actually crawled into our bed to take a nap instead of just taking a 20 minute cat nap on the couch. This was on day two of staycation.

The F Word! Schedule For the Week of May 16, 2016

There are certain words we do not use in our home. I also bring some of these rules into my classroom. For example, we use the word "challenging" in lieu of "hard". The word "can't" can only be used if it is followed by "yet." However, there is a "F" word that we do not use, and I feel passionately about this. I despise the word "fat." Whether someone is calling themselves or another person the "f" word, it just sends a wave of emotions through my body that I cannot fully explain.
