While I was deciding whether or not there would be an April workout, I was speaking to one of my wonderful students. I discussed how I was planning on "working on myself" like I promised one of my doctor's. She suggested that we make it an upper body workout so that this time they can hold me accountable. I loved the idea.
Afterwards, I was able to speak to these wonderful women. I shared my journey with one woman. I explained that it was my husband that gave me the courage and encouraged me to quit my full-time corporate job and pursue fitness full throttle. And then she asked the question...
This week I have handed over my blog to a very special lady. She is a regular in my classes and always makes me laugh. Whether it is the faces that she gives me because she is working to her limit or her contagious smile, I look forward to seeing her (and frown inside when she isn't there). Last week she shared something with me and she has allowed me to share with all of you:
Change is coming. Change is inevitable. Whether it is the seasons (hello cooler temps and changing of the leaves) or something bigger; CHANGE HAPPENS! Did you notice something different on the schedule this week? I'll give you a hint... It's on Wednesday. That's right. Zumba® Gold is back on the schedule.
For many areas, this week is back to school! This week is not just about early bedtime and picking out "the right outfit". It is also about goal setting!
I think that was the mentality that went behind our voters' mindsets when they decided upon arms for this month's challenge. I was pretty excited, but nervous. Other trainers in the group had the same concern as I did. Would this challenge exclude people who don't own weights or don't have a gym membership? Never fail! There is a solution for anyone that may feel they are unable to do this challenge. We have something for EVERYONE:
WOOOO HOOOO!!!! What an awesome day it was today! It felt so great to be back with my Sunday peeps today! We were thirty-one strong today in Tabata.
Nevertheless, our friend “self-doubt” still creeps in whenever the need arises for us to challenge ourselves. In class, I refer to in as that ugly little troll that sits on your shoulder; feeding you lies of doubt.
