Without change, without learning; we become stagnant. We must learn to accept change and not lash out. Different is not bad... It is just different. If it is not for you, that is fine. There is no reason to huff and puff and taint people's opinions. Allow others to make up their minds. With that being said....
What motivates you? What drives you to MOVE? Whatever is getting you to jump out of bed every morning to complete that workout, that is your motivation. It is obviously different for everyone. So what is it for you? I refer to this as your "Why".
This month we are GETTING FIT WITH HIIT! Specifically with Tabata! Not familiar with Tabata? Allow me to explain.
Guess what? We are starting our challenges again! That's right... It is monthly challenge time. What will this challenge be? That's up to YOU! You can help decide what February's Challenge will be by clicking here. You have three options: HIIT, Glutes or Core. Voting ends by noon on Monday, January 30th. Let your voice be heard.
How many of think you are the next Beyoncé, Gabriel "Fluffy" Iglesias or Julianne Hough? No? Well, maybe that doesn't stop you from belting out "Single Ladies" in the shower or doing the Salsa in your bedroom on Latin night on DWTS. It's the sheer enjoyment of a pastime that you love. I remember my sister singing when I was younger. She has a beautiful voice. Many people told her as such. Did she boast of her talent? I took some time this weekend to update my vision board. Instead of including longer term goals, I decided to include my goals for this year.
So many times for you to try out new classes in the New Year. A chance to make new friends and who might just have the same goals as you. That is just one of the benefits of Group Exercise classes.
"Adios 2016!" I'm so glad to say those words! Whew... What. A. Year! Never have I been so happy to turn the page on the calendar than I have on this past year.
We are coming upon New Year's Eve and that tradition of making those New Year's resolutions. If you go back to my previous post, you will know how I feel about resolutions. I even urged my readers to start changing themselves before the New Year. According to http://www.statisticbrain.com, 45% of Americans make New Year's resolutions. According to Nielson, our friends that tell us everything about consumers, losing weight was the second most popular resolution being made; behind STAYING fit and healthy. I went on social media this morning and saw posts of friends receiving fitness gear and even gym memberships. Yay!!! However, I know of one tool that is going to be purchased and I have to tell you all to "DON'T DO IT!"
