Wake Up Thankful_Thanksgiving Week Schedule!

What else would I be posting about this week?  Would you expect anything less?  I am so thankful for my students.  They really stepped up to the challenging workouts that I put forth this week.  I am also thankful that I am healthy enough to help out my fellow instructors during this Thanksgiving week, so they may spend time with their families.  This week’s schedule has some classes missing, but EXTRA opportunities for us to be together this week!  I am so excited to see some new friends and my regular friends this week.  I hope that you will join me this week.

Before you sit down with your family and friends for your Thanksgiving lunch or early dinner, please join me for a Thanksgiving Tabata Blast at our Plano East club at 9:30AM.  I am planning a SPECIAL workout for this day!  You know I won’t let you down.  Don’t you fret, everyone this week will have a memorable workout!

14114-wake-up-with-gratitudeTo each and everyone reading this, I wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving.  I pray that you all have wake each and every day with a thankful heart…  Thankful that you are opening your eyes to another day.  Even though your day may not be perfect, you are facing another one…  Another day to make a difference and right wrongs.  Another day to make someone smile.  Another day to hug your children.  Those are just some of the things that you can be grateful for by opening your eyes.  There is no such thing as a perfect life, but you can choose to be thankful for the gift of life.

It is easy for us to focus on the negatives in our life.  We tend to focus on the bad in situations and they get more attention the positives.  We can have a great day…  As soon as one bad thing goes wrong, BOOM!  Our entire day, our entire week, is wrecked.  That is just too much power.

A thankful heart should not be during one week in November.  It should be all year round.  Find something to be grateful for everyday.  This reminds me of Leslie Garcia, fitness writer for Dallas Morning News.  She captures a “moment of joy” every day that she runs and she records it on her personal Facebook page.  Sometimes it is humorous, other times it translates as a moment of gratitude.  I appreciate that she does this daily.

Be thankful this week.  Be thankful next week.  Be thankful next month.  Be thankful for losing two pounds.  Be thankful for mending broken relationships.  Be thankful for a new job.  Be thankful for inhaling and exhaling.    Just.  Be.  Thankful.
